Privacy policy
Plain language, no tracking pixels, and the complete list of everyone who touches what you type.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
The short version
This website is run by the campaign committee of John Armbruster, candidate for Missouri State Representative in District 149. We collect only what you type into a form on this site, and what you type is stored in Action Network, which holds the campaign's supporter list. We do not use advertising pixels or trackers. We do not sell your information to anyone. Every campaign email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works.
What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, ZIP code, mailing address, phone number, and whatever you write in a message or notes field.
- Name and email are how we reply to you.
- ZIP code tells us whether you live in District 149, which matters a great deal in a three-county legislative race.
- Street address is collected only on the yard sign request form, because somebody has to drive the sign to your house.
- Phone number is optional everywhere on this site. We will only text you if you check the box giving us permission.
When you visit this site, our host records basic, aggregate traffic information — which pages were viewed, roughly where visitors came from, and what kind of device they used. This counting is done without cookies and does not identify you personally.
We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, the Facebook video SDK, or any advertising or tracking cookie on this site. Nothing here follows you to another website.
One exception, and we'd rather name it than claim there are none. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission is coming from a person rather than an automated script. Turnstile may set a cookie solely to tell people from bots — it is not an advertising cookie, it does not identify you to us, and we do not read it. It exists because a campaign website with unprotected forms gets buried in spam within a week.
How we use it
We use what you give us to:
- Reply to you.
- Send campaign email, if you signed up for it.
- Send you a text message, if you checked the box asking for one.
- Get a yard sign to your house, if you asked for one.
- Organize volunteers and events.
- Ask you to vote, and to help you find out how and where to vote.
We may ask you to donate. We will not use your information for any commercial purpose unrelated to this campaign.
Who we share it with
-
Nobody buys this list. We do not sell or rent your information.
-
Service providers. We use a small number of outside services to run this website, and here they all are:
- Action Network holds the campaign's supporter list. When you fill out a form on this site — email signup, volunteering, a yard sign request, or a message to John — what you enter is stored in Action Network, and that's also where our campaign email is sent from.
- ActBlue processes donations, on ActBlue's own website.
- Resend sends one email to the campaign if Action Network is unreachable when you submit a form, so your message isn't lost.
- Vercel hosts this website and provides its Web Analytics, which is the aggregate traffic counting described above.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form submission is coming from a person and not an automated script.
That is the complete list. We do not use Google Analytics, Mailchimp, or an advertising platform of any kind.
-
Political partners. Be aware that campaign supporter and volunteer information is sometimes shared with the Missouri Democratic Party, county Democratic committees, and allied campaigns and committees. We are telling you this plainly rather than burying it.
-
When the law requires it. We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Donations are handled by ActBlue, not by us
When you click a Donate button on this site, you leave this website and go to a page hosted by ActBlue. What happens there is governed by ActBlue's own privacy policy, not this one. We never see or store your card number.
Missouri law requires this committee to report the name, address, employer and occupation of anyone who contributes more than $100. That information becomes a public record and is searchable on the Missouri Ethics Commission website. If you would rather your contribution not appear in a public filing, keep it at $100 or under.
Email and text messages
Every campaign email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It works, and we honor it right away.
If you gave us permission to text you, reply STOP to any message and the texts will stop. Message and data rates may apply.
Getting your information removed
Write to us and ask, and we'll remove you from our lists and delete what we hold about you, except where a record must be retained under Missouri campaign finance law (contribution records, for example, must be kept and reported).

Children
This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information — for example, if we add an email provider or a new form — we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
Security, honestly stated
We take reasonable care with what you give us, but no website can promise perfect security. Please don't send us medical information, Social Security numbers, or anything else sensitive through a form on this site. John is a nurse practitioner, but this is a campaign website, not a clinic.
